Hangin' with the peeps

So many reasons to stay close to home today.

On Thursday a cloud of illness descended on our home starting with our sweet girly.  She handled it gracefully and then passed it on to her momma who did not handle it well at all.  I then passed it on to my dear husband who also handled it with grace and for now it looks like we are in the clear.  We have been watching Owen parade around, a pure model of health, watching him eat and drink whatever he wants, whenever he wants (we certainly have not been able to do that!) and wondering how it is possible for him to escape it but being so glad he appears to have done it.  And so, as the rest of us make our recovery it is nice to be hanging around the house today with things returning to normal, but that of course isn't the only reason...

It would be impossible to be any too far away from this excitement:

DAY 28!!!  and the duckies are starting to hatch.  Andy is just about to put a viewing window in the incubator because we can't seem to keep the door shut longer than 15 minutes at a time.  We are soooo excited we have to keep peeking in there to see what's going on with our little peeps. We can hear them cheeping away as their little home rocks back and forth and back and forth. They are hard at work trying to break away from those little shells.

I'll be sure to keep you all posted.
