This photo was taken just a few minutes before we left on our Great Walk. We hashed out a summer bucket list several months ago and one of the things they wanted to do was was walk from our house to their Gran's house. It usually takes us only about 10 minutes or so to get there by car so it really isn't any great distance.
In the photo they are looking at their papa who is describing the route we were about to take. "We'll walk through the woods and pick up a road where we'll meet up with that other road that dead ends into, well, we have no idea what...." I think he went on to talk about tall brush over our heads and having to knock down a trail through it. It was around that point where I noticed a look of concern on their faces.
Despite the overwhelming concern though, it went great. It took us about 5 hours to get there and they were happy to check it off their summer bucket list.
