Fair days

Our County Fair is here!

This morning just before the fair actually begins in earnest, has become my very favorite fair day of all. On this morning so much of the focus is on the 4-H kids, at least for us it is. They have been working so hard. The sheep have been shorn; the alpacas have been bathed; all the little bunnies have been brushed. All of these animals have been so loved and cared for and now these kids, with so much pride and excitement, are ready to show off their animals.
On this day we can stop in front of any animal, look around for its owner and know that some sweet youngster will come take out his animal and let us pet it if he or she is around. It really is a great place to be.

And there is no lack of interest.
